The CHA has taken immediate notice to the Hampton Roads Whaler's pledge to field a very competitive team  and develop players for the next level of play. This decision to move our program to the Premier division has never occured in the CHA and speaks volumes about the uniqueness and passion behind this program. I personally can't wait for the first puck to drop at Chilled Ponds in September" states Owner, Patrick Cavanagh.

Since tryouts, the team has been training everyday with full participation, recently contracted players will be arriving in the upcoming weeks. Coach Agrusa is expecting a strong pool of additional out of town players at the Whalers July tryout, which should round out the large majority of the 2006-07 roster.
