Why do some players have a different color hockey sweater at the week-long summer programs?

Players who have a different color Jersey are Custom Training Players (CTP). CTP players are attending at least three summer programs per summer and are being evaluated and personally trained at an extremely specific level. Each Sunday and Friday the CTP player and family meet with the Director to assess the primary weakness to overcome that week and the success rate achieved. At the conclusion of the entire program, the CTP family receives a bound 15-page review of the player's achievements and overall detailed player chart. The chart details what was achieved week to week and overall. This is carried over year to year for a consistent player development path.
